The locking mechanism is engineered specifically for this coffee machine and works seamlessly. Poka-yoke design of our product makes it super easy to install and enables all safety features of the machine itself. There is one way only to introduce the locking mechanism and it is enabled with the top cover, by half a turn. As the top cap fits into the machine and into the locking mechanism also only one way, there is no room for complications.
Top cap sleek design blends with your machine and protrudes only 2mm: Use the top surface of your machine for your coffee gear (tampers, screens, WDT...) or cups. You will sundendly find that space super useful :)
If you are willing to go back to the hopper, it is super easy to disassemble. Half-turn the cap and pull out the safety mechanism. Then you can re-install the original hopper. No tools nor special skills are needed.
Select our product color to better match your coffee machine and your preferences: have a look at our pictures to understand the color matching. You will receive the interior part (locking mechanism) in blue color. Interior part is not visible when assembled. And the exterior part (top cap or cover) in the selected color: gray or black.
Instructions for installation:
1.- Remove the original hopper and clean the beans into the grinder and burrs gap, if any. Use your vacuum for help, but never use liquids in this part of the machine.
2.- Insert the locking mechanism into the gap (blue part). Push it gently downwards.
3.- Place the top cap on top of the locking mechanism, in the gap were the hopper was previously.
4.- Half turn clockwise with your palm the cap. It will activate the safety switch of the machine, and you will be ready to brew!
